Spring Valley
The valley's crossroads, and its table.
Spring Valley is central-west Las Vegas at its most connected: a large unincorporated township running from the 215 to the edge of the Strip corridor, built out mostly from the 1980s through the 2000s. Its north edge is Spring Mountain Road, the spine of the city's Chinatown and the densest concentration of restaurants in Nevada.
Desert Breeze Park carries the recreation load for the whole area, ballfields, a water park, and a community center on one site, and housing runs the full range: 1990s tract homes and condos through gated communities near the beltway. Nearly everything in the valley, the Strip, the airport, Summerlin, is twenty minutes or less from here.
There's no single master-plan identity to point to, and that's the point: Spring Valley is the practical middle of the city, chosen for the commute math and the table, not a themed entrance or a golf course.
